Teacher Exchange Programme to India
What's Included?
This programme is fully funded by the Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia
There is no additional programme cost for you or your school
- 2 one-day orientations in Auckland (pre-/post programme)
- Accommodation in India will be provided at the school. (Sharing a double room may be required.)
- Return flights to India from Auckland (and internal domestic travel in India)
- Participation in AFS Global Up Abroad, a 25-hour digital learning programme
- Medical and Personal Liability Insurance
- 24/7 support from AFS India and AFS New Zealand

Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- NZ citizen or resident
- NZ secondary school teacher with 3+ years experience
- Teaching English, PE, STEM, Computer Science or Technology
- School endorsement required
- Attend 2 one-day orientations in Auckland (pre-/post programme, all costs covered)
- Commit to 25-hour digital learning programme (before, during and after programme)
- Commit to completing reports (during and after programme)
- Keen interest in intercultural learning and proven involvement in your school communityIf you meet the criteria, please follow the steps to apply below.
