Travel may currently be off the cards, but intercultural learning continues with AFS New Zealand!

The NZ Global Competence Certificate for Teens is a web-based, blended-learning programme which provides rangatahi with essential life skills necessary for operating within our increasingly globalised world. The course includes 18 modules which will equip young people with robust global “power skills”, teaching self-awareness, empathy for other cultures, and ways to build bridges in multicultural settings.

The NZ Global Competence Certificate for Teens is an invaluable course for any domestic students interested in building leadership skills, developing an understanding of international relations and foreign cultures, or improving their knowledge of cultural values. The programme takes part over 4-6 weeks, students are able to self-pace their learning via the closed platform and take part in Facilitated Dialogue Sessions weekly with our Qualified Facilitator. Participants will finish the course with a certificate of participation perfect for their CV, and the intercultural skills of a bona fide global citizen!

The AFS Education Trust is generously providing scholarships for domestic students enrolled in the February and March intakes. It is exceptionally important to AFS New Zealand that this opportunity provides domestic students with increased access to global education, as well as personal and professional development to excel in our globalised world. Subsidisation is available for individuals, and discounts may be offered to schools who enrol cohorts of 20 or more.

Contact [email protected] for more information – I’d love to help you provide this opportunity for your students.

Physical exchange may be hindered for now, but AFS New Zealand continues to provide Kiwi students with the intercultural skills necessary to thrive in our global world!
