Semester Students July-December 2023
Lila - Germany
Lila is a sociable and active vegetarian student from Germany. She likes to be out and about and is always keen to try new things. Lila likes playing football, crafting and spending time with family and friends. On weekends, she sometimes babysits two younger children. Lila and her little brother split their time between their mum and dad’s households. Lila is coming to New Zealand on a Semester Programme (mid July – early/mid December 2023).
Meline - France
Meline is a sporty student with many interests. At home in France, she enjoys cooking, baking, outdoor activities, playing the piano, crafts (especially pottery and sewing) and of course sports (especially climbing, orienteering and dancing). Meline is the 2nd of four children, and she is used to sharing a bedroom with her older sister. Meline is coming to New Zealand on a Semester Programme (mid July – early/mid December 2023).
Noana - Germany/Spain
Noana is a mature, friendly and reliable student. Noana’s parents are Austrian, and she lives with her family in Spain, where she attends a German high school. She likes to try out different sports and currently enjoys playing volleyball and handball. She also likes horse riding, skiiing, reading, baking, walking/hiking and spending time with her friends. Noana is coming to New Zealand on a Semester Programme (mid July – early/mid December 2023).
Intensive Students July-September 2023
Blai - Spain
Blai is a sporty teenager, who is always keen to participate in new adventures. He enjoys skiing, cycling, hiking, volleyball and basketball. He also plays the guitar and likes anime. Blai is close with his parents and two sisters, and regularly tutors his younger sister in Maths. Blai is coming to New Zealand on an Intensive Programme (mid July – early September 2023).
Lou - France
Lou is an independent student from France, where she attends boarding school and spends her weekends and holidays with her family. She loves animals, enjoys reading, drawing, skateboarding and running and has a brown belt in Judo. Lou has a great sense of humour and is looking forward to making new friends in New Zealand. Lou is coming to New Zealand on an Intensive Programme (mid July – early September 2023).
Clara - France
Clara is a cheerful and easy-going student with a good sense of humour. She is independent and reliable. Clara enjoys riding her motorcycle, spending time with her friends and family and sports. In France, she plays in a handball team, but she is keen to experience other sports here in New Zealand. Clara is coming to New Zealand on an Intensive Programme (mid July – early September 2023)
Pietro - Italy
Pietro is a sporty student from Italy, where he lives with his mum, dad and younger brother in a small town. Pietro’s main sport is tennis, and he also enjoys basketball, skiing, cycling and other sports. He likes to watch movies and spend time with his friends. Coming to New Zealand will be a big adventure for Pietro, who has never travelled on a plane before. Pietro is coming to New Zealand on an Intensive Programme (mid July – early September 2023).
Julia - Spain
Julia is a friendly, independent student, who enjoys spending time with her extended family. She is studious, loves drawing and paiting and her favourite sport is climbing. In New Zealand, she’d be keen to try her hand at Rugby and Water Polo, taste some new food and share some Spanish cuisine with her host family. Julia will come to New Zealand on an Intensive Programme (mid July – early September 2023).
Jakob - Austria
Jakob is a creative student from Austria. His greatest passion is acting, and he also enjoys music (guitar and piano) as well as Ultimate Frisbee. He comes from a family of five and gets on well with his younger sister and older brother. Jakob enjoys meeting new people and is looking forward to making new friends in New Zealand. Jakob is coming to New Zealand on an Intensive Programme (mid July – early September 2023).
Noemi - Italy
Noemi is a friendly and sociable student from Italy. She works hard at school, and in her spare time she enjoys drawing, reading, movies and music (piano, guitar). Noemi has also been involved in different sports, such as dance, tennis and martial arts. She is looking forward to many new experiences in Aotearoa. Noemi is coming to New Zealand on an Intensive Programme (mid July – early September 2023).
