Friends of AFS Scholarship

About this scholarship

AFS New Zealand offers one scholarship valued at $7,500 to AFS year programme participants who demonstrate a need for financial assistance. These scholarships are funded by individuals who make regular donations to the AFS Educational Trust.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for this scholarship students must:

be attending secondary school at the time of application and meet the AFS application guidelines
demonstrate financial need and be all-round achievers
write an essay explaning why they deserve to be awarded this scholarship

This scholarship is available to year programme participants only.

What countries are available?

This scholarship is available for all AFS destination countries.
