Parents or guardians of a selected student may apply for a grant. Grants are allocated on the basis of financial need.

Grant applications for students departing in 2009 have now closed

The next closing date for students departing January to April 2010 is 15 November 2009. After that, the closing date for students departing in July to September 2010 is 15 February 2010.

To apply for a grant please complete the application form and email jessica.hattersley@afs.org or post to the External Relations Coordinator, AFS NZ, PO Box 5662 Lambton Quay Wellington 6145 .

Note:
Grants are provided as a funding of last resort. Students are expected to fundraise and grants are for only those who have limited fundraising opportunities.

Applications will not be accepted until November 2009 and February 2010. At that time it is anticipated that fundraising is almost completed and a grant is needed to supplement a shortfall in fundraising.
