ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP

AFS New Zealand offers one scholarship valued at $7,500 to AFS year programme participants who demonstrate a need for financial assistance. These scholarships are funded by indivduals who make regular donations to the AFS Educational Trust.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

• Students must also be attending secondary school at the time of application and meet the AFS application guidelines.

• Students who apply for this scholarship must demonstrate financial need and be all-round achievers.

• This scholarship is available to year programme participants only

Please complete the Scholarship Application Form as part of your online application to AFS, including writnig a 200-word statement on ”Why I need an AFS Scholarship.”

Friends of AFS donors have been providing scholarships to AFS NZ students since 1989 and in this time have sponsored over 25 Friends of AFS students to take up the challenge to live and study overseas for one year.
