AFS support

As a host family,you’ll receive plenty of practical help and support on the ground. If any issues crop up, there’s always someone you can contact to help.

Our track record for safety and support is second-to-none in the international student exchange industry. We have a large network of people on the ground in every host country to provide 24-hour support for all our students and host families. We haveproven risk managementand emergency procedures. We also have 38 local chapters, each with trained volunteers.

You’ll complete an orientation programme in your area. A local Support Coordinator is also assigned to each exchange. They can help organise structured activities for your family and host student to enjoy together.
