Our track record for safety and support is second-to-none. The safety and well-being of our volunteers while they are on AFS Community Service Programmes is our paramount concern.

We have a large network of people on the ground in every host country to provide 24-hour support for you. We also have proven risk management and emergency procedures in place.

As you will be in a new environment, we advise you to be more cautious than you might be at home.

Unfortunately,unforeseen events can and do occasionally occur, and it is ultimately up to you to decide where you want to do an Exchange. During our 60years of operation, we have handled some difficult and serious medical, personal and political situations with successful results.
